This apple crisp recipe does not contain oats and can be substituted with spelt or kamut flour for a wheat free recipe.

Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 45 min
Total time: 1 hour
Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients:
5 cups sliced apples
3/4 cup whole wheat, kamut or spelt flour
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup vegetable margarine

Directions:

5 cups sliced apples
3/4 cup whole wheat, kamut or spelt flour
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup vegetable margarine

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel and slice the apples and place into a lightly oiled 1-quart casserole dish. Add half of the brown sugar and mix well.
In a mixing bowl combine the
