TOFU STEAKS
These tofu steaks are very easy to make and a wonderful source of protein to accompany your meal. Serve with a salad, twice baked potatoes or whatever else you can dream up
Serves 4-6

Tofu Steaks

Ingredients:
1 block of tofu
1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce
2 Tbs miso paste
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 clove garlic

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cut tofu into 6 1/4 - 1/2" slices.
In a shallow dish marinate the tofu in tamari or soy sauce. After 5 minutes flip the tofu slices to marinate the other side.
Mince garlic and mix with miso, water, oil and yeast in a measuring cup.
Place tofu steaks on alightly oiled cookie sheet. Spread miso sauce mix onto the tofu with a basting brush.
Bake for 15. Remove with a spatula and serve with a bed of rice or yammy fries. Enjoy!
